Senior Engineer

Commvault is seeking a Senior Engineer-C# to join the team in Bangalore, Hyderabad (Telangana), and Pune. As a senior member of the engineering organization, you will design, build, and operate platform services and user-facing applications supporting critical capabilities like control planes, user-access management, and backup workflows.

• Own features from implementation through production operation, leveraging usage data to drive improvements.
• Build reliable APIs and backend services using C#/.NET, while developing responsive interfaces with React.
• Make technical trade-offs balancing correctness, scalability, security, cost, and maintainability.
• Write production-quality code, diagnose complex stack issues, and participate in on-call rotations.
• Collaborate across Product, QA, Customer-Facing, and Engineering teams to deliver robust features.
• Mentor junior engineers and strengthen engineering practices through high standards of design and quality.

• Bachelor's degree required with 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in C# and .NET for backend services; React/TypeScript expertise preferred.
• Experience operating production systems, diagnosing issues, and optimizing based on real-world behavior.
• Able to define solutions from loosely defined requirements under uncertainty.
• Collaborative self-starter experienced working across teams and time zones.
• Bonus points for C++ experience and background in Security or SaaS environments.
