Senior Engineer

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Backend Engineer reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, you will play a pivotal role in the development of our comprehensive software applications. You will be responsible for planning, organizing tasks, and overseeing responsibilities within a team of developers. Your contributions will include:

• Actively participating in application development activities.
• Managing and owning the entire development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to processes like Git flow, code reviews, and evangelizing best practices such as SOLID principles.
• Distributing tasks effectively within the development team.
• Monitoring tasks in progress, identifying, solving, and preventing issues.
• Defining application architecture and technical strategies.
• Providing technical support and coaching to new joiners, junior developers, and consultants.
• Collaborating in the recruitment process for new software team members, both onshore and offshore.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Java development.

Skills and Expertise:

• Expertise in JAVA, Spring Boot, NodeJS, Gradle, and Spring Boot Gateway-based Microservices development.
• Proficient usage of databases and caches including PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Beginner to Proficient level knowledge in Azure Entities Administration.
• Basic knowledge of Docker Images, Containers, Kubernetes, and Helm Charts.
• Extensive knowledge in all software development processes, including Azure Cloud Application Development.
• Experience with IoT Hub and Kafka.
• Strong understanding of REST API and Web Sockets.
• Proficiency in Microservices and Containerization.
• Experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and GitHub.
• Knowledge of Architectural and Design Patterns such as Clean Architecture, CQRS, and DDD.
• Strong planning abilities for both short-term and long-term tasks.
• Demonstrated structured, organized, rigorous, and conscientious work ethic.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and collaborate effectively with manager validation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with timely reporting.
• Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
