About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer proficient in Go and Node.js to design, build, and scale high-performance backend systems and APIs. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting robust server-side applications, managing database architecture across MySQL and MongoDB, and ensuring system responsiveness and low latency. You will collaborate with cross-functional product and engineering teams to drive best practices, optimize database performance, and lead backend technical delivery.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience focused on backend application development and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated proficiency in both Go (Golang) and Node.js (TypeScript/JavaScript) in production environments.
• Strong expertise in database design, query optimization, indexing, and data modeling in both MySQL and MongoDB.
• Proven track record of designing and consuming RESTful APIs, microservices, and asynchronous event-driven architectures.
• Solid understanding of Linux environments, Docker containerization, and backend security standards.
• Experience with production troubleshooting, log analysis, system monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Have

• Experience with caching layers (Redis, Memcached) and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of modern ORMs and database migration tools in Go and Node.js ecosystems.
• Experience writing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Jest, Go test framework).

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-throughput, low-latency microservices and RESTful/gRPC APIs using Go and Node.js.
• Design, optimize, and maintain relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies.
• Lead backend production deployments, manage application stability, and resolve high-severity production issues.
• Conduct performance tuning, code reviews, and system profiling to eliminate bottlenecks and optimize resource usage.
• Implement secure authentication, authorization, data caching, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
• Perform capacity planning, database scaling, and infrastructure resource optimization to handle traffic growth.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on technical incidents and implement long-term preventative fixes.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: ₹1,038,000.00 - ₹1,640,000.00 per year
