Jobgether, in partnership with a premier tech company, is seeking a Senior Distributed Systems Software Engineer to design and scale distributed infrastructure for global, data-intensive platforms. This role offers the chance to work on high-impact projects that drive real-time data synchronization, streaming, and cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate will lead architectural decisions, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability across large-scale environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant backend services for real-time synchronization and streaming workflows.
• Optimize systems for performance, including latency, throughput, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive architectural decisions for multi-region deployments, disaster recovery, and global data residency.
• Build and enhance cloud-native infrastructure for high-volume data processing and distributed applications.
• Own projects from design to production, including requirements, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver solutions aligned with user and business needs.
• Analyze system bottlenecks and implement improvements through experimentation and performance optimization.
• Enhance platform automation, observability, and incident response processes.
• Guide engineering practices and system architecture improvements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience designing, building, and troubleshooting distributed systems and backend infrastructure.
• Expertise in data synchronization platforms, event streaming, or large-scale data movement.
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures, real-time APIs, and cloud-native deployment patterns.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Proficiency in backend languages (Go, Python, Java) and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of system optimization, scalability, reliability engineering, and messaging systems.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong ownership mindset for independent project delivery.
