Senior DevOps Engineer - Pune, Maharashtra, India

Johnson Controls is seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Pune, Maharashtra, India. This role is pivotal in facilitating the creation, adoption, and administration of tools and processes that empower our development teams. Responsibilities

• Participate actively in the Agile development process with cross-functional teams.
• Provide crucial operational and systems expertise throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of organization-wide processes and standards.
• Automate key infrastructure tasks, including software builds, testing, and deployments.
• Mentor and share knowledge with fellow DevOps Engineers, Software Engineers, and Operations Engineers.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure the support and availability of our products and tools.
• Configure and manage monitoring, reporting, and alerting systems.
• Engage in and review architecture and infrastructure design proposals.
• Provide valuable input on cost estimations and pricing strategies.
• Oversee and manage system patching processes.

Experience and Skills

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in systems administration and development, with a strong background in Windows, .Net, and Visual Studio.
• Bachelor of Science degree.
• 2+ years of experience with CI/CD tooling, specifically Octopus and Appveyor.
• 2+ years of experience using work item tracking systems such as Jira.
• 2+ years of experience with scripting languages including Powershell, Python, or Bash.
• 2+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• 2+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform.
• 2+ years of experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
• 2+ years of experience with Windows containers, including orchestration tools like Kubernetes or ECS.
• 2+ years of experience with Windows Server, IIS, and SQL Server.
• Demonstrated experience in the management of Windows Active Directory Domains.
• Experience with Linux environments is also required.
