Senior DevOps Engineer

Experian is seeking an enthusiastic Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Consumer Information, Analytics, and Decisioning business unit in the UK. This is a hybrid role, requiring one day per week at our Hyderabad office. You will be instrumental in developing and supporting the Marketplaces Platform, which helps individuals find, understand, and apply for suitable financial products across Loans, Credit Cards, Auto, and Mortgages. Our platform enables lenders to connect with the right individuals by providing extensive decisioning capabilities for product eligibility and pre-approval marks, powered by up-to-date product information. We emphasize permissions management, data integrity, and robust support systems to streamline development and ensure a consistent user experience. Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to an agile team to develop and expand existing applications.
• Collaborate with multinational product teams to support the full product lifecycle through automation of cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Provide expertise on non-functional software requirements and technical support to engineering teams.
• Monitor application deployments and uptime to ensure product responsiveness.
• Propose secure, maintainable, and cost-efficient solutions for code refactoring and debugging.
• Write clean, scalable code adhering to design patterns and best practices.
• Document services, infrastructure, and operational procedures.
• Support the professional development of team members.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• 4-6 years of experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps practices, with demonstrable experience in Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
• Experience in building monitoring and alerting dashboards with tools such as New Relic or Dynatrace.
• Experience managing and maintaining both Windows and Linux operating systems at scale.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts including IP addressing, DNS routing, firewalls, load balancers, and WAFs.
• Understanding of Active Directory (preferably Microsoft AD, ADFS).
• Experience developing applications and tools in .NET (C#), with a strong understanding of application testing methodologies (unit, integration, performance, vulnerability).
• Strong experience working in Agile environments.

Useful Skills:

• Exposure to databases and database management, particularly MSSQL.
• Understanding of AI tools and their application in delivering change.
