Senior Devops Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer (GCP, Kubernetes, Automation) for our fully remote India team. As part of Eltropy's engineering crew, you will play a central role in building, securing, and automating the infrastructure that supports our modern, high-scale communication and payment platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure: Design and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Kubernetes Expertise: Architect and maintain production-grade Kubernetes clusters for robust container orchestration.
• CICD Automation: Develop fully automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable software delivery across all environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement reproducible deployments using Terraform or equivalent tools, ensuring full auditability.
• Database Management: Configure and manage PostgreSQL databases with a focus on high availability, performance tuning, and automated backups.
• Networking: Define and enforce comprehensive networking configurations including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing, ingress/egress control, and DNS management.
• Security First: Apply security best practices across infrastructure, managing IAM policies, secrets handling (TLS/SSL), and threat prevention.
• Observability: Monitor systems using Prometheus, Grafana, and Stackdriver; build custom alerts and dashboards to ensure 99.9% uptime.

Incident Management

Actively participate in incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and lead postmortems to drive continuous improvement.

Your Profile

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering.
• Strong expertise with GCP services such as GKE, IAM, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
• Proven track record deploying and managing Kubernetes environments in production settings.
• Deep understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, NAT, VPNs, TLS/SSL, and routing policies.
• Solid knowledge implementing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or similar tools.
• Demonstrated experience managing PostgreSQL databases at scale.
