Senior DevOps Engineer - Hyderabad
Experian is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Hyderabad, India. This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and supporting our cloud platform capabilities and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring robustness, scalability, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, document, and support cloud platform capabilities using AWS best practices, focusing on fault tolerance, high availability, and security.
- Design, deploy, document, and support CI/CD tools such as GitHub to streamline deployments and infrastructure updates.
- Provide support for our internal deployment framework.
- Perform advanced technical troubleshooting for cloud environments.
- Lead technical operations projects from requirements gathering through design, implementation, and ongoing operations.
- Deploy applications in public cloud environments like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure.
- Demonstrate proficiency in system design and architecture.
- Leverage strong Linux administration skills.
- Develop and maintain effective documentation.
- Utilize Python and infrastructure management tools such as Troposphere or Terraform.
- Employ a wide variety of open-source technologies and tools.
- Foster a passion for innovation and automation.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) operations, including monitoring, alerting, and analyzing system metrics for root cause analysis and system behavior explanation.
- Collaborate effectively and drive initiatives across functional boundaries.
- Deploy automation solutions in a public cloud environment, specifically AWS.
- Report to a Director - Engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering/Sciences or Master of Computer Applications degree.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience supporting DevOps concepts, with a strong focus on CI/CD and pipeline management.
- Proficiency with the DevOps toolchain, including but not limited to Jenkins, Nexus OSS, Artifactory, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, GitHub, GitLab, Chocolaty, CloudFormation, JIRA, and Travis CI.
