Senior DevOps Engineer - Credit & Verification Services (Hyderabad)

Experian is seeking an enthusiastic Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to the forefront of our cloud modernization initiatives within Credit & Verification Services. This is a #LI-hybrid role based in Hyderabad, reporting to the Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Lead the design and implementation of robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and maintain reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules.
• Provision and manage resilient and scalable infrastructure on AWS.
• Drive the adoption of DevSecOps practices, embedding security throughout the development lifecycle.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for system health and observability.
• Ensure infrastructure adheres to standards for security, compliance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the growth of internal DevOps capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership in achieving non-functional requirements such as performance, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MCA, Bachelor of Technology in Engineering, or a higher qualification.
• 4–10 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles within software engineering.
• Proven experience in building and supporting cloud-native solutions on AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in agile teams.
• A passion for continuous improvement and innovation in DevSecOps practices.
• An automation-first mindset, consistently identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks and enhance efficiency.

Required Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket, Harness, Gitlab Actions, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation, Terraform, and/or AWS CDK.
• Deep understanding of networking concepts, including IP addressing, DNS, routing, firewalls, and WAFs.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, or Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience with Kubernetes-based orchestration platforms, with a preference for Amazon EKS.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and IAM policy design.
• Experience working in Agile environments and actively contributing to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Desirable & Useful Skills:

• Experience with Gitlab, Github actions.
• Experience with configuration management tools like CHEF or ANSIBLE.
• Experience with serverless architectures.
• Exposure to AI/ML tools and their integration into DevOps workflows.
• Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies.
• AWS Certifications (e.g., Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer) are highly beneficial.
• Understanding and experience with Generative AI (GenAI) in DevSecOps and software engineering.
