Senior DevOps Engineer

Miratech is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with extensive experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and OpenStack to architect, scale, and optimize our multi-cloud infrastructure. This role is crucial for designing and maintaining our OpenStack environment, ensuring high reliability, robust security, and optimal performance, while fostering close collaboration with global engineering teams.

You will engage in high-impact initiatives, including OpenStack evolution, hybrid cloud integration, container orchestration, and enhancements to automation and observability.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and evolve our OpenStack environment.
• Perform Linux configuration and troubleshooting.
• Design and maintain availability zones.
• Collaborate with architects and engineers on OpenStack environment design and deployment.
• Partner with engineers to troubleshoot, test, and build the platform.
• Provide feedback and guidance across teams for platform support evolution.
• Understand cluster requirements based on evolving customer needs and design/implement appropriate solutions.
• Create and document processes and procedures through comprehensive testing.
• Effectively communicate with cloud tenants as needed.
• Participate in an on-call rota.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in Linux configuration and troubleshooting.
• 4+ years of experience designing and maintaining OpenStack networking, including OVS/OVN, and interfacing with hardware networks.
• Strong client service orientation and ability to maintain positive partnerships.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with OpenStack core services (Neutron, Nova, Cinder).
• Detailed knowledge of at least one major public cloud provider.
• Experience with container technologies.
• Proficiency in automation using tools like Ansible, Puppet, BASH, and Python scripting.
• Excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
• Organized with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
• Ability to collaborate with internal developers to gather feedback, prioritize tasks, and manage the engineering backlog.
• Willingness to actively address hardware and software issues.

Nice to have:

• Certified OpenStack Administrator or equivalent experience.
• Experience in Kubernetes cluster design and operations.
• Familiarity with data center design principles (rack layouts, power, and cooling).
• Strong Cisco networking skills.
• Active participation in the OpenStack community and contributions to core projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
