Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot web and backend applications and resolve technical issues.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of multi-tier application architectures.
• Apply knowledge of AWS security, application security, and industry best practices.
• Conduct Software Composition Analysis (SCA), analyze security reports, and manage SonarQube profiles and gates.
• Develop and implement security improvements based on analysis and reporting.
• Lead, drive, and implement highly scalable, highly available, and complex technical solutions.
• Stay current with the latest DevOps tools and ecosystem advancements.
• Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-6 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Must have primary expertise in AWS Cloud; Azure/GCP cloud knowledge is a plus.
• Extensive experience with core AWS services.
• Advanced skills in AWS networking, including setup, routing, VPN, cross-account networking, and proxy usage.
• Experience managing AWS multi-account infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using CloudFormation or Terraform.
• Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Fargate.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Chef, Ansible, or Salt.
• Strong understanding and practical application of CI/CD principles using Jenkins, CodePipeline, or CodeDeploy.
• Basic proficiency in scripting languages including Shell, Python, or Node.js.
• Adept at Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) workflows.
• Experience working with source code repositories like GitLab, GitHub, or Bitbucket.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch Agent, Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Dynatrace, Datadog, or OpenAPM.
• ELK stack knowledge is advantageous.
• Knowledge of chat-ops practices is desirable.
• Proficiency in using various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Expertise in command-line tools, AWS CLI, Git, and interacting with AWS APIs.
• Experience with SQL databases (RDS PostgreSQL/MySQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), data warehousing (Redshift), and data lakes.
• Knowledge and experience in instrumentation, metrics collection, and monitoring concepts.
