Senior Web Developer - Digitex Technologies, Kolkata

Digitex Technologies is seeking a results-driven Senior Web Developer to join our team in Kolkata, West Bengal. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring 5+ years of hands-on experience in modern web technologies.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer with a strong background in WordPress, Laravel, Python, and Node.js. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leading and managing a team of 3-4 developers. This role demands strong technical leadership, architectural thinking, and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications.
• Lead backend development using Laravel, Python, and Node.js.
• Architect and manage advanced WordPress solutions, including custom themes, plugins, and APIs.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and maintain coding standards.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Oversee database design and management (MySQL/PostgreSQL/MongoDB).
• Ensure proper version control, CI/CD practices, and deployment processes.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and mentor a team of 3-4 developers.
• Assign tasks, conduct code reviews, and ensure timely project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support to the team.
• Conduct performance evaluations and training sessions.
• Coordinate effectively with project managers, designers, and stakeholders.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of professional web development experience.
• Strong expertise in:
• WordPress (advanced customization & architecture).
• Laravel framework.
• Python (Django/FastAPI or similar frameworks preferred).
• Node.js (Express or similar frameworks).
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend practices.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with Git and version control workflows.
• Experience with database design and optimization.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar.
• Knowledge of DevOps basics, including CI/CD and deployment pipelines.

Location: Kolkata (Salt Lake – Sector V), West Bengal

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
