Senior Delphi Developer

Join ePS, a leader in packaging technology, as a Senior Delphi Developer in our Whitefield, Bengaluru, Karnataka office. You will play a crucial role in driving engineering excellence by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable Delphi-based applications. Your responsibilities will include ensuring system stability, performance, and reliability, contributing to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective technical solutions. This role involves enhancing and maintaining legacy systems, fixing defects, implementing minor enhancements, and supporting performance improvements. You will also be involved in troubleshooting application issues, supporting production incidents with root cause analysis, and contributing to technical documentation. Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development and maintenance of Delphi-based applications, focusing on stability, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement understanding to deployment.
• Enhance and maintain legacy Delphi systems by addressing defects and implementing improvements.
• Collaborate with teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Adhere to coding standards and best practices, and participate in code reviews.
• Troubleshoot application issues and support production incidents.
• Contribute to technical documentation for applications and workflows.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and share knowledge.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 3-6 years of strong experience with Delphi (Object Pascal), including legacy versions like Delphi 7 and 2006.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience in designing and developing scalable and maintainable Delphi applications.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as SQL Server, including query writing and data performance optimization.
• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Experience maintaining and enhancing legacy Delphi applications.
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Understanding of SDLC and experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
