Full Job Description
About the Role
As a Senior Delivery AI Software Engineer at BCG X in Gurgaon, you will join our Delivery team to work alongside consulting experts on advanced technology topics. You will leverage software development methodologies to deliver value across Consulting & X teams and Practice Areas.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design, develop, deploy, and support high-quality enterprise-grade software solutions for client needs ranging from Proof of Concepts (PoC) to long-term engagements.
- Create robust proprietary code, translate business logic into technical requirements, and ensure security best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead full-stack GenAI system engineering, including building modular AI services in Python, designing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, orchestrating agentic workflows with tool calling and memory management, and integrating AI inference into modern React/Angular frontends.
- Treat evaluation as an engineering discipline: define success criteria for AI outputs, build test sets, implement logging/tracing/monitoring, and enforce Responsible AI practices like prompt injection defense and PII handling.
- Establish credibility with demanding stakeholders through sophisticated synthesis of results. Own engagements from start to finish, ensuring proper sign-off before deploying code to internal repositories.
Technical Skills
You will need strong experience in building high-performance web applications using Python (Django/Flask/FastAPI), TypeScript/React/Angular, and SQL (Postgres). Proficiency with OOPs, design patterns, unit testing frameworks, and UI component libraries like Material UI is essential. You must have hands-on experience deploying AI workloads on major cloud platforms (Azure preferred) using Kubernetes.
What to Bring
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering.
- At least 4-6 years of end-to-end web application development experience, preferably in a consulting or services organization.
- Demonstrated contributions to open-source projects (a plus).
