Senior Data Scientist

About the role:

Assist internal and external clients in better understanding and utilizing RMS services. This involves comprehending their requirements and queries, and providing solutions based on data science knowledge and familiarity with RMS.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and demonstrate expertise in Nielsen's product suite.
• Understand client concerns and challenges.
• Propose solutions to client concerns under supervision.
• Automate and develop solutions for existing processes.
• Proactively identify and address issues within the RMS product, contributing to product improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Mathematics, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field with a focus on statistical analysis of large datasets.
• 2-3 years of experience in market research or a related field.

Functional Skills:

• Proficiency in manipulating, analyzing, and interpreting large data sources.
• Experience with high-level programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and Scala.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools like Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, or MicroStrategy.
• Ability to work in a virtual environment and familiarity with Git/Bitbucket processes.
• Experience with RMS or NIQ is advantageous.
• Strong logical reasoning skills to address complex problems and achieve positive outcomes.
• Ability to leverage data from various sources to inform decisions.
• Effectively interpret data in the context of business objectives.
