Senior Data Scientist

Clean Harbors seeks a highly skilled and passionate Senior Data Scientist to join its dynamic team in Hyderabad. This role offers an exciting opportunity to tackle complex data challenges, architect traditional and Generative AI models, and extract valuable insights to drive strategic decisions. As a key member of the innovation team, you will leverage Artificial Intelligence to develop solutions that generate revenue and optimize costs, differentiating Clean Harbors in the marketplace.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prioritize Health and Safety by adhering to all policies and procedures.
• Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure data-driven solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure databases, or Fabric implementations.
• Develop and deploy sophisticated AI models to address complex business problems, generating actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their needs and deliver data-driven AI solutions.
• Extract and present meaningful insights from large, diverse datasets to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
• Implement and maintain feedback loops for production models using key metrics, ensuring the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the MLOps pipeline.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, Generative AI, and cloud computing.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 4 years specifically in data science, machine learning, or a related domain.
• In-depth understanding of statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and big data technologies, with proven experience in deploying ML models to production.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure and its data science tools, including Azure Machine Learning, Azure Data Services, Azure Databricks, and Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and machine learning.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, and Data Fabric architectures.
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Scikit-learn.
• Knowledge of deep learning and neural networks; experience utilizing Generative AI LLMs in Python is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and algorithmic thinking.
• Capacity to translate complex findings into compelling narratives for non-technical audiences.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate are preferred.
