Senior Data Scientist

Blend360 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with specialized experience in pricing optimization, pricing elasticity, and AWS SageMaker to join our team in Hyderabad. This role requires a strong foundation in Statistics and Machine Learning, with a particular emphasis on Bayesian modeling. You will collaborate closely with clients to develop and implement advanced pricing strategies, utilizing state-of-the-art tools and techniques on the AWS platform to optimize business outcomes and drive revenue growth.

With 5 to 7 years of experience, this position is based in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of sophisticated pricing optimization models, employing statistical and machine learning methodologies to guide strategic business decisions.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing elasticity to forecast consumer behavior and price sensitivity, enabling clients to maximize revenue and market share.
• Implement and deploy machine learning models efficiently using AWS SageMaker, ensuring scalability and robust performance within a cloud environment.
• Apply Bayesian modeling techniques to enhance decision-making processes, providing clear insights into model uncertainties and predictions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate data-driven insights into core business operations and workflows.
• Articulate complex analytical results and findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously research and experiment with novel modeling approaches and cutting-edge tools to elevate the accuracy and efficiency of pricing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a closely related quantitative field. Advanced degrees are highly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive experience in data science, with a dedicated focus on pricing optimization and elasticity modeling.
• Demonstrated expertise in Bayesian modeling principles and various machine learning techniques.
• Proven track record of using AWS SageMaker for end-to-end machine learning lifecycle management, including model development, deployment, and ongoing monitoring.
• Familiarity with the AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty certification is a valuable asset.
• Exceptional programming proficiency, preferably in Python, or alternatively in R.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including practical application of SageMaker.
• Strong command of statistical analysis tools and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and PyMC3, or equivalent.
• Outstanding problem-solving capabilities and acute analytical thinking.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment while effectively managing multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills, with the proven ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with A/B testing, econometrics, or other statistical experimentation methodologies.
• Exposure to other leading cloud computing platforms like Azure or GCP.
• Previous experience collaborating within cross-functional teams and engaging in client-facing roles.
