Senior Data Scientist

Blend360 is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist in Hyderabad, TS, India, with extensive experience in pricing optimization, pricing elasticity, and AWS SageMaker. This role requires a strong foundation in Statistics and Machine Learning, with a specialization in Bayesian modeling. You will collaborate closely with clients to develop and implement advanced pricing strategies, leveraging state-of-the-art tools like AWS SageMaker to enhance business outcomes. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 7 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of pricing optimization models using statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Analyze pricing elasticity to forecast consumer price sensitivity, aiming to increase client revenue and market share.
• Implement and deploy machine learning models on AWS SageMaker for scalable performance in cloud environments.
• Apply Bayesian modeling to support informed decision-making and provide insights into model uncertainty.
• Integrate data-driven insights into business processes by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Communicate complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously explore and experiment with new modeling approaches and tools to refine pricing solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
• Over 5 years of hands-on data science experience, specifically in pricing optimization and elasticity modeling.
• Expertise in Bayesian modeling and various machine learning techniques.
• Demonstrated experience with AWS SageMaker for model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty certification is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R programming.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and SageMaker.
• Proficiency in statistical analysis tools and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and PyMC3.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with A/B testing, econometrics, or other statistical experimentation methods.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms like Azure or GCP.
• Experience in client-facing roles and working within cross-functional teams.
