Senior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist with expertise in pricing optimization, pricing elasticity, and AWS SageMaker to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in Statistics and Machine Learning, with a specific focus on Bayesian modeling. You will collaborate closely with clients to develop advanced pricing strategies, utilizing state-of-the-art tools like AWS SageMaker to optimize business outcomes and enhance revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of pricing optimization models using statistical and machine learning techniques to guide strategic decisions.
• Analyze pricing elasticity to forecast consumer responses to price adjustments, aiming to maximize client revenue and market share.
• Implement and deploy machine learning models via AWS SageMaker for scalable performance in cloud environments.
• Apply Bayesian modeling to support informed decision-making by providing insights into model uncertainty and predictions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed data-driven insights into business operations.
• Clearly communicate complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously explore new modeling approaches and tools to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of pricing solutions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees are preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data science, with a specialization in pricing optimization and elasticity modeling.
• Expertise in Bayesian modeling and advanced machine learning techniques.
• Proven experience with AWS SageMaker for model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Proficiency in Python (preferred) or R programming.
• Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS and SageMaker.
• Strong command of statistical analysis tools and libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and PyMC3.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking capabilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects effectively.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with A/B testing, econometrics, or other statistical experimentation methods.
• Familiarity with other cloud computing platforms like Azure or GCP.
• Experience in cross-functional team environments and client-facing roles.
