Senior Data Scientist

About the Role:

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to leverage data and analytics to solve complex business challenges with minimal supervision. This role involves working across diverse business domains including Customer Experience and Service, Operations, Finance, Sales, and Marketing. You will collaborate with various business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements, design analytical frameworks to derive insights, and explore/visualize datasets to identify problem-solving opportunities. Responsibilities include building end-to-end data pipelines for large-scale data processing, developing machine learning models, statistical solutions, and predictive models. Expertise in Natural Language Processing for text insights and designing database models for data aggregation will be crucial. You will also be responsible for designing visualizations and building dashboards in Tableau and/or PowerBI, extracting business insights, and presenting findings to stakeholders through compelling data stories using PowerPoint and dashboards. Collaboration with team members is a key aspect of this role.

About You:

The ideal candidate will possess over 6 years of experience in technology roles, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in data science. Proficiency in Python and SQL is essential, along with hands-on experience using frameworks/libraries such as Scikit-learn, PyTorch, Keras, and NLTK. Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau and/or PowerBI, cloud platforms like Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Sagemaker, and data pipeline tools such as Alteryx, GLUE, or Informatica is required. You should have a strong command of machine learning, statistical modeling, and data science techniques. Experience in specific business analytics applications such as predictive analytics for customer retention, cross-sales, and acquisition, pricing optimization, segmentation, or recommendation engines is highly valued. Familiarity with business domains like Customer Experience and Service, Finance, or Operations is a plus. Excellent presentation skills, the ability to articulate complex results clearly, and strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are necessary. You should thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and be adept at communicating insights at all organizational levels.
