Senior Data Scientist - ML Model Implementation & Software Engineering
Grid Dynamics Private Limited is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team in Hyderabad. This role focuses on the implementation, experimentation, and software engineering aspects of machine learning models.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation and experimentation of ML models.
- Focus on software engineering best practices for ML development.
- Perform data analysis and develop forecasting algorithms.
- Develop and maintain Python and PySpark applications.
- Collaborate on MLOps initiatives.
- Work with various ML models, including ensemble methods like Random Forest, XGBoost, and LightGBM.
- Gain exposure to Azure Cloud Platforms, including Databricks and Azure ML Studio.
- Contribute to demand forecasting algorithm development.
Qualifications
- 3-4 years of strong Python and PySpark development experience.
- 1-2 years of software development experience (preferred).
- 1-2 years of experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on forecasting algorithms.
- Solid programming skills in Python.
- Good understanding of general ML concepts and algorithms, particularly forecasting methods and their mathematical underpinnings.
- Familiarity with ensemble models such as XGBoost, CatBoost, and LightGBM.
- Basic understanding of MLOps principles.
- Basic understanding of Azure Cloud Platforms (Databricks, Azure ML Studio, etc.).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and manage multiple priorities effectively.
