Senior Data Scientist - PayPal - Bengaluru, India

PayPal is seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist to join their team in Bengaluru, India. In this pivotal role, you will lead workstream solutions for complex, ambiguous, and high-visibility business challenges. You will establish and execute a vision powered by your deep analytical expertise, serving as a strategic thought partner to Marketing leadership teams.

Responsibilities:

• Provide data-driven insights including business casing, deep dives, modeling, campaign performance readouts, and optimization.
• Deliver accurate, action-driving recommendations to enhance business performance and optimize investments.
• Manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, intense, and results-oriented environment.
• Influence stakeholders to align business decisions with global measurement approaches.
• Manage high-performing Data Scientists and Quantitative Analysts.
• Drive strategy within large, global, and complex organizations across multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Manage analytics projects from inception to delivery, including developing structured solutions.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, or Economics.
• 4+ years of experience in analytics, data science, management consulting, or equivalent analytical and project management experience.
• Proven experience in managing high-performing Data Scientists and Quantitative Analysts.
• Demonstrated experience working within and driving strategy for large, global, complex organizations across multiple stakeholders and teams.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a strong ability to drive towards action and impact.
• Experience managing analytics projects from inception to delivery, including developing structured solutions.
• Proficiency with visualizations, dashboards, and reports.
• Experience with data modeling, machine learning algorithms, and data science techniques.
• Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and BigQuery.
• Ability to explain technical concepts and analysis implications to varied audiences and translate business objectives into analyses.
