Full Job Description
Experian is seeking a passionate Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic agile team in Hyderabad, TS, India. This role offers a hybrid work schedule and reports to the Director of Engineering. You will be instrumental in developing high-quality, technically sound solutions that deliver significant value to our customers.
The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in the software development lifecycle, a deep understanding of business requirements, and a strong sense of ownership for the products and services we deliver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within an agile team to deliver quality solutions on time.
- Support and enhance the entire product lifecycle through effective teamwork.
- Review project proposals, assess alternatives, provide estimations, and offer recommendations.
- Act as a subject matter expert for applications and provide technical support.
- Refactor, update, and debug existing and new codebases.
- Contribute to the professional development of team members.
Qualifications:
- A degree, HND, or HNC in a software development discipline, or equivalent commercial experience in developing applications deployed on AWS.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
- Proficiency across the full software development lifecycle.
- Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Skill in writing clean, scalable code, adhering to design patterns and best practices.
- Experience with Application Lifecycle Management tools such as GIT, Jira, and Confluence.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Expertise in Scala development and the Spark Framework.
- Experience with AWS technologies.
- A commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
Desired Skills:
- Understanding of Agile methodologies.
- AWS Developer Certification.
- Expertise in Python, Openshift, and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with automated testing tools like Scalatest.
- Knowledge of RESTful and microservice architectures.
- Expertise in infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with code quality tools like SonarQube and security scanning tools like Veracode.
