Senior Data Engineer - Bengaluru
Location: Onsite at HPE Office, Bengaluru (On-premise role)
About the Role
We are seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to build and enhance our data platform supporting analytics, operations, and decision-making. You will develop scalable pipelines, improve models, ensure high-quality data governance, and evolve our modern data ecosystem alongside analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering & Delivery: Build batch/streaming pipelines; optimize SQL/Python code; implement quality checks using dbt; integrate APIs/event streams.
- Collaboration: Partner with architects on best practices, translate requirements for data scientists, and lead technical design discussions.
- Platform & Process: Drive DataOps (CI/CD), manage orchestration tools (Airflow/Dagster), and monitor pipeline health.
Requirements
- Mandatory: 6-10 years experience; Snowflake expertise (SQL, modeling); dbt proficiency; Strong SQL/Python skills; Cloud platform knowledge (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Nice to Have: Kafka/Pub/Sub exposure; Terraform familiarity.
