Senior Data Architect - TalentOla - Wisconsin, United States

TalentOla is actively seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Architect to join our team in Wisconsin. This pivotal role focuses on the design and architecture of robust data and Master Data Management (MDM) solutions. You will be instrumental in managing technical delivery, ensuring strict adherence to Enterprise Architecture policies and best practices, and collaborating closely with business teams to develop scalable, efficient data solutions. This is a hybrid contract position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the technical delivery of medium to large, moderately complex projects, ensuring on-time completion with a commitment to zero defects.
  • Provide comprehensive planning, estimation, scheduling, prioritization, and coordination of technical activities for enterprise-wide data solutions, encompassing both cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Guarantee that all solutions align with Enterprise Architecture policies and best practices, ensuring development adheres to established process methodologies.
  • Hold accountability to business and technology management for end-to-end application scoping, planning, development, and delivery, consistently exceeding quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and manage project dependencies and downstream impacts to minimize adverse effects on other projects and programs.
  • Support Project Managers in estimating technical timelines and allocating technical resources effectively to specific tasks.
  • Clearly communicate expectations, roles, and responsibilities to team members, fostering accountability for meeting objectives.
  • Collaborate with IT partners to develop capacity plans and ensure the availability of appropriate infrastructure for end-to-end system delivery.
  • Supervise contingent workers, including onshore and offshore staff, and manage their daily tasks.
  • Identify valuable data sources and implement automated collection processes.
  • Maintain data accuracy and timeliness, a critical function impacting supply chain, sales effectiveness, financial performance, and customer perception through on-time delivery, working capital, financial reporting accuracy, and product quality.
  • Architect and design master data strategies to achieve a 'Single Source of Truth'.
  • Regularly monitor and measure the performance of MDM standards.
  • Conduct problem and trend analyses to identify and correct issues, thereby enhancing data quality.
  • Review and approve the execution of data changes.
  • Track and report progress through the CAB (Change Advisory Board) review process.
  • Develop Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and ensure their consistent fulfillment.
  • Lead data mapping workshops for migration projects.
  • Coordinate and participate in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for data migrations.
  • Plan and architect data integration strategies for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing and architecting data/MDM solutions, including analysis, implementation, and deployment across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with diverse business teams.
  • Extensive knowledge of big data tools and products.
  • Experience creating scalable, flexible, and comprehensive data solutions to address complex business challenges.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
