Astar Data is seeking an experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Pune. This hybrid role offers the opportunity to work on a wide spectrum of data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence challenges for diverse industries.

About the Role:

As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be instrumental in translating complex business problems into actionable analytical strategies. You will engage directly with clients to understand their unique business contexts and processes, mapping them visually and developing analytical structures. Leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques, you will collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to embed AI and analytics into core business decision-making processes. Your responsibilities will include formulating recommendations for business improvement and effectively communicating the value of your analysis through compelling presentations to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement: Understand client business contexts and processes.
• Process Mapping: Visually map business processes.
• Problem Translation: Convert business problems into analytical structures using statistical/ML techniques.
• Collaboration: Work with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI and analytics.
• Formulate Business Improvements: Identify and propose ways for businesses to enhance their operations.
• Presentation: Showcase analytical benefits and present findings/recommendations to clients.

Desired Skills & Competencies:

• Algorithm & Model Development: Create and refine algorithms and models for business problem-solving.
• End-to-End Analysis: Provide comprehensive analytical support across various industry domains.
• Data Quality Assessment: Evaluate data usability and sufficiency for analytical outcomes.
• Data Generation: Produce data cuts and outputs (e.g., survey data cleanup, weighting, recoding, custom tables, cross-tabulations).
• Quantitative Analysis: Conduct and interpret quantitative analyses.
• Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Spotfire.
• Database & Office Skills: Proficiency in MS SQL Database and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Programming: Python knowledge is a plus.
• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong abilities in critical thinking and issue resolution.
• Client Interaction: Experience in storyboarding and client communication is advantageous.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Experience:

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant analytics experience with a focus on problem-solving and advanced analytics.
• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), MBA, or an advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent.
