About the Role:

Astar Data seeks a skilled Data Analyst to address a diverse range of data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence challenges across multiple industries. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects and contribute to strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients to thoroughly understand their business context and objectives.
• Process Mapping: Analyze and visually map complex business processes to identify areas for improvement and clarity.
• Problem Translation: Transform business challenges into analytical frameworks, utilizing statistical and machine learning techniques for effective problem-solving.
• Team Collaboration: Partner with a team of data scientists and engineers to integrate AI and advanced analytics into business decision-making processes.
• Business Improvement: Identify and propose actionable strategies for business enhancement based on data-driven insights.
• Communication of Findings: Clearly articulate the benefits of analyses and present findings and recommendations compellingly to clients.

• Algorithm and Model Development: Experience in developing and refining algorithms and models to address specific business problems.
• End-to-End Analysis: Proven ability to provide comprehensive analytical support across various industry sectors and application domains.
• Data Quality Assurance: Expertise in assessing data quality, evaluating usability, and determining data sufficiency for achieving desired analytical and business outcomes.
• Data Manipulation and Output Generation: Skilled in generating data subsets and outputs according to agreed specifications, including survey data cleanup, data weighting, variable recoding, custom tabular view creation, and running cross-tabulations.
• Quantitative Analysis: Proficiency in conducting quantitative analyses and interpreting results effectively.
• Data Visualization Tools: Mastery of visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Spotfire.
• Database and Office Proficiency: Strong command of MS SQL Database and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Python: Knowledge of Python is considered a valuable asset.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Client Interaction and Storyboarding: Experience with storyboarding and client interaction is a significant advantage.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Education and Experience:

• Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant analytics experience with a strong focus on problem-solving and advanced analytics solutions.
• Education: Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), MBA, or an advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or an equivalent field.
