About the Role:

Astar Data is seeking a Data Analyst to tackle a wide array of data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence challenges across diverse industries. You will play a key role in translating business needs into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with clients to deeply understand their business context and objectives.
• Map and visualize business processes to gain a comprehensive understanding.
• Transform complex business problems into analytical frameworks, leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques for solutions.
• Partner with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI and analytics into critical business decision-making processes.
• Identify opportunities for business improvement based on data analysis.
• Clearly articulate the value of analyses and present findings and recommendations to clients.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in developing and refining algorithms and models to address business challenges.
• Proven ability to provide end-to-end analytical support across various industry sectors and application areas.
• Skilled in data quality assessment, evaluating data usability and sufficiency for desired outcomes.
• Proficiency in generating data extracts and outputs based on agreed specifications, including survey data cleanup, weighting, variable recoding, custom tabular views, and cross-tabulations.
• Adept at conducting quantitative analyses and interpreting results.
• Proficiency with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Spotfire.
• Strong command of MS SQL Database and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience with storyboarding and client interaction is highly valued.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Education & Desired Experience

• 3 to 5 years of relevant analytics experience, with a focus on problem-solving and advanced analytics solutions.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (B.E.), MBA, or an advanced degree in Mathematics/Statistics or an equivalent qualification.
