Senior Data Analyst - Bengaluru
Sigmoid Analytics is seeking a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. This hybrid role offers an exciting opportunity to tackle a wide array of data analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence challenges across diverse industries. You will be instrumental in translating complex business needs into actionable analytical insights, leveraging statistical and machine learning techniques to drive strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to thoroughly understand their business context and objectives.
- Map and document business processes visually to identify areas for improvement.
- Deconstruct business problems into well-defined analytical frameworks.
- Apply statistical and machine learning methodologies to solve complex problems.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to integrate AI and advanced analytics into business operations.
- Propose innovative solutions and strategies for business enhancement.
- Clearly articulate the value and impact of analytical findings, presenting recommendations effectively to clients.
Required Skills and Competencies
- Proven experience in developing and refining algorithms and models for business problem resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to provide comprehensive analytical support across various industry domains and application areas.
- Expertise in data quality assessment, evaluating data usability and sufficiency for achieving analytical and business goals.
- Skilled in generating data extracts and outputs according to specifications, including data cleaning, weighting, variable recoding, and cross-tabulation.
- Proficiency in conducting quantitative analyses and interpreting complex results.
- Expertise with visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or Spotfire.
- Strong command of MS SQL Database and MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with Python is advantageous.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with storyboarding and client interaction is highly desirable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability for immediate joining.
Education and Experience
- 2.5 to 3.5 years of relevant analytics experience, with a strong focus on problem-solving and advanced analytics solutions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech, M.E./M.Tech), MBA, or an advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
