Role Summary

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to transform raw data into actionable business insights. You will design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI to visualize key performance indicators, business trends, and analytical models that support data-driven decision-making. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, analytical thinking, and business acumen.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Preparation

Extract data from various sources including databases, Excel/CSV files, and operational systems.
Clean, validate, and standardize data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Automate recurring data preparation and reporting processes.

Analysis & Insights

Analyze trends, patterns, and variances to address business questions.
Perform root-cause and diagnostic analysis for performance gaps.
Create meaningful metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) aligned with business goals.

Reporting & Visualization

Design and maintain insightful dashboards and reports.
Present findings clearly, concisely, and in a stakeholder-friendly manner.
Support leadership with periodic performance and executive reports.

Collaboration & Governance

Collaborate with business teams to understand and fulfill reporting requirements.
Ensure data definitions, logic, and calculations are thoroughly documented.
Support data governance, auditability, and version control processes.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

Proficiency with Business Intelligence (BI) tools, particularly Power BI.
Strong command of SQL for writing queries, joins, and aggregations.
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, formulas, and data modeling. VBA knowledge is also required.
Basic knowledge of Python or R for data analysis is preferred.

Ability to translate complex business problems into specific data questions.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
2-5 years of experience in a Data Analyst or reporting role.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining reports or dashboards using Power BI.
Experience working with Excel-based datasets and operational data.

Work Schedule

This role requires working the night shift to align with US business hours. Typical working hours are approximately 6:30 PM – 3:30 AM IST. Candidates must be comfortable working in a night shift environment on a long-term basis.
