Java Backend Developer - Senior Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Java Backend Developer to join our Tech Consulting team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices architecture, REST APIs, cloud platforms, and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and build robust backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create secure Microservices-based applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs for internal and external system integration.
• Implement clean architecture principles, design patterns, and best coding practices.
• Manage data using relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Deploy cloud-native applications on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Maintain automated deployment pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Required Skills:

• 5-8 years of backend application development experience.
• Proficiency in Java 8/11/17 and Core Java concepts.
• Hands-on with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security.
• Strong background in Microservices Architecture.
• Expertise in designing/consuming REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Design Patterns and OOP principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  

Preferred Skills:

• Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture (Kafka/RabbitMQ).
• Agile/Scrum methodologies understanding.
