Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to a Principal Consultant based in India, the Senior Consultant will be instrumental in advancing Kroll's cybersecurity practice. This role offers a dynamic blend of technical leadership and client engagement, complemented by a strong emphasis on team mentorship and development.

Project Leadership & Execution

Spearhead and successfully deliver a wide array of offensive security engagements, including but not limited to web, mobile, API, and network penetration tests. You will serve as the primary technical authority, guiding both clients and your dedicated team through complex security assessments.

Client Management & Scoping

Function as the technical lead for all client engagements. This entails expertly scoping solutions to address their specific cybersecurity challenges and acting as a trusted subject matter expert. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing and scoping new projects, such as advanced penetration tests and cloud security initiatives.

Team Leadership & Mentorship

Guide the technical delivery of engagements by formulating execution strategies, assigning tasks to junior team members (Associate Consultants and Consultants), and providing constructive feedback and dedicated mentorship. You will embody a role model for their professional and career advancement.

Strategic Initiatives

Contribute significantly to the growth and strategic evolution of the practice by championing and executing internal strategic initiatives, and by proactively identifying and implementing enhancements for the team's overall effectiveness.

Essential Traits & Prerequisites

Kroll seeks a candidate possessing a robust background in offensive security, coupled with the essential soft skills required to lead and mentor a high-performing team.

Experience

  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience within the cybersecurity domain.
  • At least 3+ years of dedicated experience in penetration testing, application security, or red teaming.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead and successfully deliver complex cybersecurity engagements.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration, both in independent work and as part of a team.

Technical Expertise

  • Expert-level knowledge across critical offensive and defensive security domains, encompassing application security, cloud security, and infrastructure security.
  • Exceptional adaptability and a tool- and industry-agnostic approach to security challenges.

Education & Soft Skills

  • A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
  • Superior oral and written communication skills are paramount for client interactions and internal reporting.
  • A genuine willingness to generously share knowledge and a patient demeanor when mentoring junior team members are critical attributes for success in this role.
