Senior Consultant

Role & Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Execution: Spearhead and deliver a diverse range of offensive security engagements, including web, mobile, API, and network penetration tests. You will serve as the definitive technical authority for both our esteemed clients and your dedicated team.
• Client Management & Scoping: Act as the technical linchpin for client engagements. This includes expertly scoping solutions to address complex cybersecurity challenges and functioning as a trusted security subject matter expert. You will also be instrumental in developing and scoping new projects, such as advanced penetration tests and comprehensive cloud security initiatives.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead the technical execution of engagements by strategically defining the delivery approach, efficiently delegating tasks to Associate Consultants and Consultants, and providing constructive feedback and invaluable mentorship. You will be a guiding role model for their professional development and career advancement.
• Strategic Initiatives: Actively contribute to the robust growth and ongoing evolution of our cybersecurity practice. This involves executing internal strategic initiatives and proactively identifying and implementing innovative strategies to enhance team performance and capabilities.

Essential Traits & Prerequisites

Kroll is actively searching for a candidate possessing a deep-rooted background in offensive security, complemented by exceptional soft skills necessary for effective team leadership and mentorship.

Experience

• A minimum of 6+ years of comprehensive experience within the cybersecurity domain.
• At least 3+ years of specialized experience in penetration testing, application security, or red teaming operations.
• Demonstrated ability to independently and successfully lead and deliver complex cybersecurity engagements.
• Proven track record of effective collaboration, working both autonomously and as an integral part of a team.

Technical Expertise

• Expert-level proficiency across key offensive and defensive security domains, including but not limited to application security, cloud security, and infrastructure security.
• Exceptional adaptability and a tool- and industry-agnostic approach to security assessments.

Education & Soft Skills

• A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills are paramount for this client-facing role.
• A genuine willingness to generously share knowledge and a patient demeanor when guiding junior team members are critical attributes for success in this position.
