Senior Consultant, Offensive Security
Kroll is seeking a Senior Consultant, Offensive Security to join our dynamic cybersecurity practice in Delhi and Hyderabad, India.
Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to a Principal Consultant in India, this pivotal role offers a blend of technical leadership, client engagement, and team mentorship. You will be instrumental in driving Kroll's offensive security capabilities.
Project Leadership & Execution
- Lead and execute a diverse range of offensive security engagements, including web, mobile, API, and network penetration tests.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for both clients and internal teams.
Client Management & Scoping
- Act as the technical lead for client engagements, meticulously scoping solutions to address complex cybersecurity challenges.
- Function as a key security subject matter expert.
- Develop and scope new projects, such as advanced penetration tests and cloud security initiatives.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide the technical delivery of engagements by defining execution strategies.
- Delegate tasks effectively to junior team members (Associate Consultants and Consultants).
- Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to foster the career growth of team members.
- Serve as a role model for technical and professional development.
Strategic Initiatives
- Contribute to the strategic growth and evolution of the offensive security practice.
- Drive internal strategic initiatives and ideate on improvements for the team.
Essential Traits & Prerequisites
Kroll is searching for a candidate with a robust offensive security background complemented by strong leadership and mentorship capabilities.
Experience
- A minimum of 6 years of overall cybersecurity experience.
- At least 3 years of specialized experience in penetration testing, application security, or red teaming.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and successfully deliver cybersecurity engagements.
- Proven experience working both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
Technical Expertise
- In-depth knowledge across key offensive and defensive security domains, including application security, cloud security, and infrastructure security.
- Exceptional adaptability and a tool- and industry-agnostic approach to security challenges.
Education & Soft Skills
- A Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Excellent command of both oral and written communication.
- A strong willingness to generously share knowledge and demonstrate patience with junior team members is crucial for this role.
