Senior Consultant, Offensive Security
About the Role
Join Kroll's dynamic cybersecurity practice as a Senior Consultant, Offensive Security, reporting to a Principal Consultant in India. This pivotal role demands a blend of technical leadership, client engagement, and team mentorship. You will be instrumental in identifying and addressing unique security risks for our diverse clientele.
Responsibilities
- Project Leadership & Execution: Spearhead and deliver a variety of offensive security assessments, including web, mobile, API, and network penetration tests. Serve as the primary technical authority for both clients and your project teams.
- Client Management & Scoping: Act as the technical lead for client engagements. This involves understanding and defining solutions for their cybersecurity challenges, acting as a subject matter expert, and architecting new projects such as penetration tests and cloud security initiatives.
- Team Leadership & Mentorship: Guide the technical execution of engagements by establishing strategy, delegating tasks to Associate Consultants and Consultants, and providing constructive feedback and mentorship. You will be a role model for junior team members' professional development.
- Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to the growth and evolution of the practice by driving internal strategic initiatives and contributing innovative ideas to enhance team performance and capabilities.
Qualifications
Experience
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in the cybersecurity field.
- At least 3 years of dedicated experience in penetration testing, application security, or red teaming.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and successfully deliver cybersecurity engagements.
- Proven experience working effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Technical Expertise
- Expert-level understanding of key offensive and defensive security domains, including application security, cloud security, and infrastructure security.
- High degree of adaptability; comfortable with a variety of tools and industry methodologies (tool- and industry-agnostic).
Education & Soft Skills
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills are paramount.
- A genuine willingness to share knowledge generously and a patient approach to mentoring junior team members are critical attributes for success in this role.
