Senior Consultant - Business Performance and Operational Excellence (BPRE) - Commercial Due Diligence (CDD)/Strategy
The Opportunity
EY is seeking a talented Senior Consultant to join our Strategy practice. In this role, you will be instrumental in assisting businesses to define and achieve their strategic goals. You will analyze industry dynamics, including market size, growth, and competitive landscapes, to identify unique competitive advantages. Your work will help create alignment across all business units and functions to support and enhance strategic positioning. Our team offers clients expertise in Business Model Reinvention, New Market Entry Opportunities, and Digital Strategy and Innovation.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Primarily responsible for the execution of both Commercial Due Diligence (CDD) and Strategy engagements.
- Conducting commercial due diligence, growth strategy analysis, and feasibility studies for private equity firms and corporations.
- Developing business strategies utilizing tools such as market analysis, customer research, macroeconomic forecasting, and portfolio optimization.
- Defining key tasks and activities for strategy engagements and client deliverables in consultation with Managers.
- Effectively leading small, diverse teams with varied skills and backgrounds.
- Supporting business development and proposal development within key sectors and across the broader EY and Transaction Advisory Services organization.
Technical Excellence
- Proven experience in delivering business strategy and diligence projects in complex environments.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully complete complex assignments.
- Strong quantitative skills for data analysis, interpretation of results, and generation of actionable insights.
- A desire to contribute and succeed in a dynamic, collaborative, and challenging work environment.
- Robust financial skills and a clear understanding of financial concepts.
- Willingness to travel within India and internationally.
- A strong team player mentality.
Qualifications
- MBA from a premier Indian B-school (Tier-I), with a focus on leading consulting project delivery in a professional services environment.
- Preferred: 2-4 years of professional experience (post-MBA) with strategic exposure on transactions.
- Strong analytical, communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High degree of flexibility, adaptability, and creativity.
- Comfortable interacting with senior executives both internally and at client organizations.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in supervisory responsibility.
