Pega is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to join their team in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security controls within AWS and GCP environments to protect against sophisticated threats and vulnerabilities. You will be instrumental in automating security operations and workflows through scripting languages like Python or Golang, ensuring the continuous improvement of security policies, standards, and procedures.
Key responsibilities include analyzing complex security challenges, developing effective solutions, and overseeing their end-to-end implementation. You will also serve as a trusted security advisor, providing essential guidance and best practices to cross-functional teams. Staying abreast of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies is crucial to continuously strengthen the cloud security posture.
What You'll Do:
- Design, implement, and maintain security controls in AWS and GCP to safeguard against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Automate security operations and workflows using scripting languages such as Python or Golang.
- Develop, enforce, and continuously improve security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Analyze complex security challenges, propose robust solutions, and drive their implementation end-to-end.
- Act as a trusted security advisor, providing guidance and best practices to cross-functional teams.
- Stay ahead of emerging security threats, trends, and technologies to strengthen cloud security posture.
Who You Are:
- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Have 2-6+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Security, with a focus on AWS or GCP.
- Demonstrate expertise in AWS Security services and EDR tools.
- Exhibit a strong understanding of cloud security principles, policies, and best practices.
- Be proficient in scripting languages like Python and Golang.
- Have experience with DevOps tools, CI/CD pipelines, source code management, and containerization.
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with EDR/XDR solutions (e.g., Trend Micro, CrowdStrike).
- Knowledge of container security and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience building applications with API integrations.
- Relevant certifications such as CCSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer are a plus.
