Senior Cloud Engineer

Guardant Health is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join their Enterprise Software Cloud Engineering team in Hyderabad, TS, India. This role is crucial for enhancing production operations and observability to support the company's rapid growth.

The Senior DevOps Engineer will be responsible for:

• Elevating production operations and observability.
• Working with a technology stack including Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, AWS, Java, Python, Ruby, MongoDB, Postgres, and Oracle.
• Supporting and improving CI/CD pipelines and release processes for zero-downtime deployments.
• Leading infrastructure automation initiatives using tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins, Rafay, and Opsera.
• Managing and maintaining Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments (AWS/GCP), ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security.
• Collaborating with development teams to implement robust monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions using tools such as New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
• Driving operational excellence by focusing on cost optimization, reliability, and effective incident response.
• Partnering with cross-functional teams to define Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and enhance system observability.
• Mentoring junior engineers and promoting DevOps best practices throughout the team.

Key Qualifications:

• Over 8 years of industry experience in DevOps, SRE, or cloud infrastructure roles.
• In-depth experience with public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP), including expertise in networking, Identity and Access Management (IAM), compute, and storage services.
• Extensive experience managing on-premise systems, including VMware infrastructure, Linux environments, and shell scripting.
• Strong hands-on proficiency with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker.
• Expertise in CI/CD tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and version control systems (Git).
• Proven experience with automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go.
• Extensive experience with Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS).
• Experience supporting and scaling production systems, including participation in on-call rotations.
• A strong understanding of system monitoring, logging, and tracing methodologies.
