About the Role

Waters Global Research seeks an energetic C++/Algorithm Software Engineer to join their Bengaluru team. You will drive next-generation innovations in automated instrumentation workflows and high-performance algorithms for drug discovery laboratories, specifically extracting artefacts from high-throughput analytical devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Build tools and develop C++ algorithms that process scientific data from instruments.
• Port algorithms to GPU architectures (CUDA/OpenCL) and benchmark performance results.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts in instrumentation to refine algorithms and resolve edge cases.
• Maintain a robust codebase using OOP/FP best practices, writing comprehensive unit tests.
• Assist with algorithm validation, knowledge transfer, and configuring LLM/agentic tools for solution development.

Work Model

This position operates on a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the GCC office at RMZ Ecoworld, Bellandur, Bangalore (Tue-Thu) and 2 days remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Physics, Mathematics, or related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Solid C++ development skills for scientific applications.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design and functional programming best practices.
• Familiarity with Agile workflows (Git version control).
• Experience building CUDA/OpenCL applications is required.
