NS Accounting supports around 1,400 clients with a focus on using technology and automation to make accounting operations more efficient. Our current stack includes Capium, Karbon, Xero, Zoho Sign, n8n, PyAirbyte, dbt, PostgreSQL, and various REST APIs.

Role Overview

We are hiring a Full or Part-Time Automation Engineer to build reliable, production-ready automation. This is an initial 4-month contract with the option to extend, offering remote work (Bengaluru based) with overlap during UK working hours and approximately 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Build browser automations using Playwright and develop API integrations for tax filings and administrative processes.
• Analyze web applications, internal APIs, HAR files, and network requests to create reliable automations.
• Maintain and improve n8n workflows and ETL pipelines moving data into our warehouse.
• Build reverse ETL processes to sync data back into business systems like Karbon.
• Write tests, document systems, design integrations end-to-end, including error handling and monitoring.

Requirements

Essential experience includes TypeScript or Node.js, Playwright/Puppeteer, REST APIs/webhooks, n8n/workflow platforms, Git/GitHub, and ETL tools (dbt, PyAirbyte). Knowledge of UK accounting processes like Self Assessment, VAT, MTD, and Companies House is a plus.
