Senior Backend Software Engineer

About The Role

The orchestration team builds backend software managing all work in a Mytra system: determining what every bot should do, when, how, and in sequence. We track the current state of the system and handle dynamic multi-agent pathfinding problems against live fleets.

What You'll Do

• Build backend software to coordinate live fleets of bots with collision-free planning across shared operating spaces.
• Develop systems for assigning tasks based on fleet state, dependencies, timing constraints, and operational priorities.
• Implement planning logic for storage/retrieval workflows, including accessing blocked or buried payloads.
• Support continuous replanning as work is added, canceled, or reprioritized to maintain efficiency.
• Maintain accurate system state across Mytra's digital model and the physical warehouse environment.
• Build recovery workflows for scenarios where software states diverge from reality (e.g., blocked areas, network drops).
• Improve observability into planning cycles and task execution to aid debugging and performance improvement.
• Design backend services, APIs, and data models supporting orchestration and fleet operations.
• Integrate customer warehouse workflows and WMS data for efficient platform deployment.
