Senior Backend Software Engineer

Skyflow is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, India, or remotely from Palo Alto, CA. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing a cutting-edge SaaS solution designed for enterprise-grade data governance and protection. You will focus on performance engineering to ensure low-latency and high-throughput transactions at scale. Key responsibilities include enforcing best practices in software quality, security, testing, and documentation. We value candidates who are fast learners, adaptable, hands-on, and passionate about building robust systems, akin to engineering solutions for platforms like Stripe, Twilio, Slack, Zendesk, Snowflake, or MongoDB.

Desired Qualifications include proficiency in Golang (preferred), C/C++, or Python; experience in performance engineering for high-throughput, low-latency systems; a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, scalability, and distributed systems. Experience with privacy, authorization/authentication engineering is a significant plus. We also look for experience with continuous integration, writing testable code, test-driven development, and a proven track record of delivering scalable, cloud-native distributed SaaS platforms.

Responsibilities include designing and developing Privacy APIs and backend infrastructure for large-scale data and privacy workflows, contributing to performance engineering efforts, and collaborating with security and privacy engineers to deliver state-of-the-art privacy solutions. You will also participate in building and implementing effective test strategies and developing software with high-agility and zero downtime.
