Senior backend Java Developer

Project Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to architect, develop, and scale high-throughput backend services. This role requires ownership of the full software delivery lifecycle in a collaborative environment involving Product, QA, and DevOps teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust microservices using Java 17+ within an event-driven architecture.
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and transactions to ensure high performance and data integrity.
• Build resilient, observable cloud-native services on AWS (ECS/EKS/Lambda, S3, RDS/Aurora, MSK/Kinesis).
• Implement industry-standard CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and leverage AI coding assistants for enhanced productivity.
• Ensure system reliability through fault tolerance patterns like circuit breakers, retries, and idempotency.
• Enforce security best practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance controls.

Mandatory Skills

Experience: 9+ years in backend development with Java (Core JVM internals).
Domain Knowledge: Capital Markets or Financial Analytics.
Framework: Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Security; familiarity with Spring Cloud is preferred.
Frontend Adjacent Skills: 5+ years of professional experience with Angular (required for this hybrid role).
Databases: PostgreSQL mastery including indexing, query tuning, and transaction management.
Cloud & Infra: Extensive AWS usage across compute, storage, messaging, and security services; proficiency in Docker and Terraform/CloudFormation.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Messaging intermediaries: Kafka (MSK), RabbitMQ.
  Data modeling for audit trails and multi-party workflows.
  Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and CQRS patterns.
  Advanced JVM tuning and performance profiling.
