Senior backend Java Developer

Project description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to architect and build high-throughput backend services on AWS. This role requires ownership of the full development lifecycle, from design to production deployment, within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement microservices using Java 17+ for low-latency platforms with strict auditability requirements.
• Optimize PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and transactions to ensure high performance data integrity.
• Build resilient services on AWS (ECS/EKS/Lambda) implementing security controls like IAM policies and encryption.
• Leverage CI/CD practices via GitHub Actions and AI tools like Copilot for rapid delivery.
• Ensure system reliability through circuit breakers, retries, and fault tolerance patterns.

Skills

Must have:

• 9+ years Java experience (Core/Concurrency/JVM).
• Financial domain expertise in Capital Markets or Trading.
• Advanced Spring ecosystem skills and 5+ years with Angular.
• Deep PostgreSQL knowledge including indexing strategies and query tuning.
• AWS production experience across compute, storage, and messaging services.

Nice to have:

• Kafka/MSK event streaming expertise.
• Distributed system patterns like CQRS and DDD.
