Senior Backend Integration Engineer

This is a long-term contract position with one of the largest, global technology leaders. We are seeking a Senior Backend Integration Engineer to join our team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend APIs and microservices using Node.js.
• Build and deploy services on AWS, utilizing services such as Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, S3, ECS, Glue, EventBridge, SQS, and SNS.
• Ensure high availability, performance, scalability, and cost efficiency of services.
• Debug and resolve production issues within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Create and maintain High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Implement monitoring and observability using CloudWatch, Dynatrace, Splunk, and AWS X-Ray.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Implement security best practices using IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation, CDK, and Serverless Framework.
• Develop automated tests using Mocha, Jest, and mocking frameworks.
• Collaborate via GitHub (Pull Request reviews) and track progress using Jira.

Required Skills:

• 6+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Node.js.
• Deep expertise in AWS microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD automation (Jenkins preferred).
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices.
• Experience with observability tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of IAM and cloud security best practices.
• Working knowledge of IaC tools.
• Experience building enterprise integration services.

Preferred Skills:

• Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate.
• Exposure to enterprise integration domains (ERP, Order-to-Cash, Accounts Receivable).
• Python-based microservices experience.
• Exposure to Generative AI (GenAI) applications using RAG / MCP frameworks.

Primary Skills: Node.js, AWS Cloud Development, Exposure to CI/CD through Jenkins

Secondary Skills: Observability Tools (Splunk/Dyntatrace/Cloud Watch), Exposure to JAVA & Python, Integration Domain
