๐น **About the Role** ๐น This is an opportunity to join Weekday AIโs Senior Backend Engineer team in Pune, Maharashtra. Weโre seeking a highly experienced engineer with 10+ years of expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale distributed systems.
๐น **Key Responsibilities** ๐น
- Design, develop, and optimize large-scale distributed systems with a focus on scalability, performance, reliability, and fault tolerance.
- Build high-quality software using Java for distributed and data-intensive applications.
- Develop and enhance data-processing components using Hadoop and related technologies.
- Design efficient data workflows and optimize SQL queries for high-performance distributed execution.
- Implement secure communication mechanisms (encryption, authentication, SSL/TLS).
- Develop resilient distributed components with resource management, task coordination, and failure-handling mechanisms.
- Analyze system architecture to improve performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex performance issues across multi-node environments.
- Collaborate with architecture, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver secure solutions.
- Drive adherence to engineering standards and continuous improvements in system performance.
๐น **What Makes You a Great Fit?** ๐น
- 10+ years of experience in software development, distributed systems, or large-scale systems engineering.
- Strong Java expertise with hands-on experience in distributed architectures.
- Proven experience with Hadoop, SQL, and database optimization.
- Deep understanding of security protocols (encryption, authentication, SSL/TLS).
- Experience diagnosing and resolving performance/reliability issues.
- Bonus: C++, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), Docker/Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
