Senior Backend Engineer

Level AI is seeking a passionate and driven Senior Software Engineer for its Noida, India location. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain products and features serving millions of customers, focusing on continuous improvement of customer experience.
• Take end-to-end ownership of solutions, addressing broadly defined problems with scalable, high-quality designs and code.
• Champion best practices in software engineering, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with peers on the architecture, design, and evolution of existing and new systems.
• Actively explore, adopt, and leverage AI tools and techniques to enhance engineering workflows, code quality, testing, and delivery speed.
• Exercise bottom-up ownership of code, ensuring production readiness, system stability, and operational excellence. Proactively enhance system reliability, scalability, and maintainability, embedding observability and monitoring into the development process.
• Deliver software iteratively in an agile environment with fast feedback loops.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related field from a tier-1 institution, or equivalent relevant experience with a top technology company.
• A minimum of 2 years of backend engineering experience, with proficiency in at least one high-level programming language, preferably Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with Django or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and REST API design.
• Exposure to machine learning/NLP concepts is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Deep understanding of core Computer Science concepts, including Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Design, and Databases.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into engineering workflows (e.g., for code generation, code review, testing, or documentation).
