Senior Backend Engineer

What you'll do:

• Design, develop, and maintain products and features serving millions of customers.
• Own solutions end-to-end, tackling broadly defined problems with scalable, high-quality code.
• Champion best practices in software engineering, code quality, testing, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate on the architecture, design, and evolution of new and existing systems.
• Continuously explore and adopt AI tools and techniques to improve engineering workflows, code quality, testing, and delivery speed.
• Take full ownership of code, ensuring production readiness, system stability, and proactive improvement of reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Embed observability and monitoring as core components of design and development.
• Deliver high-quality software iteratively in an agile environment with fast feedback loops.

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electronics, or related fields from a tier-1 institution, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of backend engineering experience, with proficiency in a high-level programming language, preferably Python.
• Strong hands-on experience with Django or similar frameworks.
• Solid understanding of relational databases, data modeling, and REST API design.
• Exposure to machine learning/NLP concepts is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Deep understanding of core Computer Science concepts including Algorithms, Data Structures, Object-Oriented Design, and Databases.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools into engineering workflows (e.g., for code generation, code review, testing, or documentation).
