Senior Backend Engineer

About the Role

As Vyn's customer base grows, so does the volume and complexity of systems requiring connection. This role expands integration capacity by designing new customer integrations and owning production health for existing ones. You will develop services connecting the core platform to enterprise tools in CRM, Customer Service, Field Service, Asset Management, and Facilities Management.

You'll work across the full lifecycle: shaping technical approaches with customers, implementing solutions with Product and Software teams, and ensuring reliability post-launch.

What You'll Do

• Contribute to integration architecture working with internal teams and customer stakeholders.
• Design and implement integrated solutions for specific use cases alongside cross-functional partners.
• Build reusable connectors/packages as web services on AWS or custom code on partner ecosystems like Salesforce.
• Monitor, maintain, and improve production integrations by diagnosing failures.
• Elevate the team's technical standards through code review, testing protocols, and mentoring.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years experience with 2+ years building production systems in Python.
• Proven experience designing/consuming REST APIs and owning third-party integrations end-to-end.
• Strong practice of automated unit and integration testing as a default.
• AWS experience including compute, SQS message queues, and managed databases.
• Skill in designing for availability, reliability, and performance in distributed systems.
• Ability to collaborate with external stakeholders to turn ambiguous requirements into workable designs.

Nice to Have

• Salesforce or partner ecosystem development experience.
• Familiarity with multi-tenant connector frameworks.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Prior background in scaling B2B SaaS environments.
