Senior Backend Engineer

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are building a product where the backend does the heavy lifting. You will own features end to end: schema design, API contracts, migrations, workers, and deployment.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design and build REST APIs in FastAPI with clear contracts
• Model and evolve the PostgreSQL schema safely
• Build async background jobs for long-running work (queues, retries)
• Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks effectively
• Write tests that catch real regressions
• Debug production issues using logs and metrics
• Review PRs to set engineering conventions

We Are Looking For:

• 3–4 years of professional backend development in Python
• Strong experience with FastAPI, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy/Alembic
• Experience with background job processing (ARQ, Celery) and Redis

Nice to Have:

• AWS infrastructure knowledge (EC2, S3, RDS)
• React/Vite experience
• LLM or media-processing API integration experience
